VISIT LAS VEGAS
Sin City. It’s an iconic, unforgettable getaway, and now, easy to get to from St. Louis on Allegiant Airlines.
Las Vegas, NV, is America’s Playground, a town dripping in five-star dining, special events, creative cocktails, and gambling at casinos that are open 24 hours a day. Only here can you enjoy the world’s most luxurious hotels and most awe-inspiring live Las Vegas shows, as well as sizzling nightlife filled with body-thrumming dance clubs and high-end bars. It’s a town where the nights are as hot as the days, and everyone can be a winner.
When visiting Las Vegas for the first time, taking on the Las Vegas Strip – considered to be the most expensive 4-mile stretch in the world – is a must. Featuring iconic Las Vegas hotels and top attractions, the Strip offers something for everyone.
SPORTS AND MORE
Want to catch a game between the St. Louis Blues and Vegas Golden Knights while visiting in the winter or spring months? You’re in luck because T-Mobile Arena – where the Golden Knights play – is located right on the Strip. The arena also plays host to other sporting events, including UFC, as well as unforgettable concerts and special events. Allegiant Stadium, located adjacent to the Las Vegas Strip, is another global-events destination that has a capacity of 65,000. The world-class venue hosts entertainment, including concerts and sporting events, and is the home of the Las Vegas Raiders.
GOLF GALORE
For those who love to golf, there are plenty of plush green golf courses to tee off from near the Las Vegas Strip. Courses range from classic and traditional 18-hole layouts to challenging championship courses. Four Las Vegas golf courses that are worth taking a swing at to make for a par-fect day, as recommended by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, include the following:
- Bali Hai Golf Club, a renowned Las Vegas golf course and one of two on the Strip;
- Las Vegas National Golf Club, which has hosted a number of LPGA and PGA events and is located 10 minutes from the Strip;
- Wynn Golf Club, located directly on the Strip and built to accommodate and challenge golfers of every skill level; and
- Las Vegas Golf Club, a welcoming course for players of all ages and abilities.
RACING
If you have a need for speed, Las Vegas has just the right amount of thrill, adrenaline and racing events. While the town has played host to the Las Vegas Grand Prix, where the streets of Las Vegas transform into a Formula 1 circuit and the world’s top drivers push speeds of up to 212 mph, you can experience the heart-pumping thrill of racecars whizzing by at other points throughout the year. The Las Vegas Motor Speedway is located just 15 miles north of the Strip and hosts Indy and NASCAR races on its 1500-acre property. The Speedway’s property includes 10 race venues and two unique driving schools, and features the NASCASR Whelen All American Series at the Bullring every other Saturday during racing season.
DOWNTOWN DISTIRCTS
Before the Las Vegas Strip became one of the world’s most unmistakable skylines, all the action happened to its north, in Downtown Las Vegas. The first gambling halls, saloons, and the city’s first stoplight were all “Downtown”. The area stretches from the northern end of the Strip by The Strat, which forms a gateway to the vibrant neighborhoods of Downtown, including Fremont East, The Arts District, and the Fremont Street Experience.
While Las Vegas is known for its exciting entertainment, casinos, shows and late nights in downtown Vegas and on the Strip, there’s more to this town that makes it an exciting place to visit. If you play your cards right, Las Vegas is a high-thrills outdoor paradise. Experience the beauty of Nevada when you scramble through Red Rock Canyon or waterski on Lake Mead. Race a Lamborghini around a professional track or take a helicopter over the Grand Canyon. Whether indoors or out, the Entertainment Capital of the World is sure to, well, entertain adventurers of all ages.
