TSA
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) operates the security checkpoint at MidAmerica St. Louis Airport. Ticketed passengers over the age of 18 will need to show valid identification in order to travel.
Travelers with a lost ID, or without a REAL ID or acceptable form of ID can use TSA ConfirmID to verify their identity before boarding flights.
Travelers with disabilities, medical conditions, or other special circumstances that may require additional assistance during the security screening process are encouraged to contact TSA Passenger Support before traveling.

TSA PreCheck
The MidAmerica St. Louis Airport has a separate security lane for those enrolled in TSA PreCheck. Passengers in the PreCheck program do not have to remove their shoes, laptops, liquids, belts, or light jackets during screening.
TSA ConfirmID Alert, starting February 1, 2026 travelers without an acceptable form of ID must pay a $45.00 fee.
